More and more services are encouraging people to access services online. This was part of the NHS plans prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, however the shift to online services was accelerated considerably as a result. Our report examines this.

In March 2021, we launched a survey to gather people’s general experiences of using their local COVID-19 vaccination programme in Bury.

We visited the Northern Care Alliance Fairfield General Hospital site to assess the existing signage from the patient’s perspective at the request of the Patient Experience Lead.

Through 2020 and 2021, Healthwatch England has collated data relating to NHS dentistry from local Healthwatch organisations across England. This includes the 10 Healthwatch in Greater Manchester.

Almost two thirds of Bury residents say that the pandemic affected their mental health, and many had operations cancelled.

Many Bury GP surgeries are requiring new patients provide identification before allowing them to register, despite NHS rules saying ID is not needed.
