We are looking to recruit an Engagement Officer to work with our local community to join our team.  This post is for someone who has the skills to engage with a range of groups and individuals – to hear views, and gather intelligence about people’s experiences of health and social care services in the borough.

The post holder will have the ability to take this information and use it in compiling written reports; they will also need to be confident in presenting the information within meetings and to external partners.

We warmly welcome applications from individuals from all of Bury’s population groups and diverse communities.

Role details:

Part time : 16 hours per week, with fixed or flexible working. Office and community based, although may include some working from home if necessary.

Pay NJC scale 5 : £22,183 pro rata (£9,464.75 actual + pension contribution).

This is a 12 month fixed term contract.

Could you be the Healthwatch Bury board member we have been looking for?

We are currently on the lookout for people that could add their valuable skills and experience to our board of directors as we look to build on the work we have been doing and strive for bigger goals.

Joining the Board provides a great opportunity to help make a real difference to delivering service improvements and benefits for communities across the borough of Bury and beyond.

If you have a strong interest in health and social care and would like to influence service development across health and social services by representing the views of patients, service users and carers. Then we would like to hear from you.

You don't need to have done this sort of thing before, or have any particular qualifications, but we are looking for people who have knowledge or experience of areas we want to know more about.

Healthwatch Bury board positions are voluntary and unpaid, but we do pay out of pocket expenses.

We are looking for people that can give us insight from working with or lived experience of the following areas of representation, who may have professional experience of the following skill areas or have specific knowledge of areas of work we cover.
