Contact are working with partners to find out what deters disabled and neurodiverse children and young people from under-represented communities in the North West from accessing healthcare.
Access to healthcare research project

Contact (contact.org.uk) are carrying out research to investigate why some disabled and neurodiverse children and young people from under-represented and under-served communities face barriers accessing health care and what measures will reduce these barriers.

You can find out more about the project here.

The survey is for young people aged 16-25 with additional needs (disability or neurodivergence) living in North West England who are happy to share their opinions about health services like community clinics, mental health, hospitals and dentists.

Contact would love to hear your views and experiences of what can be challenging, what works well and what could be improved.  You will be helping with a vital research project, which has been designed by young people, that aims to improve access to healthcare in your area. Contact will be sharing everything they learn with health leaders and would be pleased to share their findings with you.

The survey should take about 15 minutes. A formal diagnosis is not required
