What mental health services are available to young people in Bury

Young peoples mental health

The local Pennine Care Trust has a mental health support team which helps those aged 5-18 with mild or moderate mental health issues.[1] They can help with issues such as anxiety and low mood. They work with a variety of primary schools and high schools across Bury. Check the website for a full list, and if your school is listed you can contact them to make a referral.

CAMHS offer specialist services to children and young people who are experiencing mental health difficulties.

They help children and young people up to the age of 18 years, and provide assessments, intervention and support to their families/carers.

CAMHS can help with: Anxiety, Depression, Eating Disorders, Psychosis, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Emotional dysregulation, Self-harm, ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder), Autism & more complex psychological difficulties.
