Have you say: Greater Manchester Ophthalmology

NHS Greater Manchester is carrying out an exercise to understand people’s experiences of ophthalmology services – the diagnosis and treatment of eye disorders.
With the help of residents and patients, NHS GM – the organisation responsible for commissioning (buying and overseeing) NHS health services across the city region – will evaluate what services currently exist as well as people’s experiences of them.
People may have been referred into ophthalmology services by their GP, optometrist, or their diabetes nurse/doctor. The eye disorders or conditions commonly included could be things like cataracts, emergency eye treatment, glaucoma, or macular degeneration.
This work will take place for eight weeks between 2 June and 25 July – people can take part by completing the online survey, by joining in with one of their face-to-face engagement sessions or by arranging a phone call from a member of their engagement team.
