Carers Week 10th - 16th June
A carer is someone who provides unpaid care and support to a family member or friend. It might be your husband, wife, partner, parent, child, or a friend living with a range of conditions including cancer, dementia, mental ill health, stroke, alcohol and substance misuse, physical disability, learning disability, autism, old age, and frailty. Caring is something that will affect each and every one of us, whether we become a carer or need care ourselves.
During Carers Week, the Bury Carers Hub has organised a range of activities, in person and online. See poster below for more information.
Bury Carers' Hub makes sure that adult carers, caring for someone 18+, can get information, advice, and a wide range of support services. These services are designed to help carers continue in their caring role for as long as they choose and to reduce the impact caring can have on their own health and wellbeing.
