Help with your exam results

Helpful advice for students on GCSE results day.
Young person receiving support

Whether you got the grades you expected or not, there are lots of options available to you.

    • The National Careers Service runs a Get Help with Exam Results service. Support is available on the National Careers Service website and students can chat to a careers adviser over the phone or by webchat. The exam results helpline: 0800 100 900 is open from Thursday 17th August until Friday 1st September 2023, from 8am – 8pm Monday to Friday and 10am – 5pm Saturday.
    • The Get the Jump hub can help take the stress out of young people’s next move after their exam results. It brings together all post-16 and post-18 education and training choices in one place and offers the opportunity to speak directly to a careers adviser.
    • Everything students need to know about alternatives to A Levels and university.
    • If students don’t receive the grades they’re expecting, the Education Hub blog contains helpful advice for potential next steps.
