Music in Mind (delivered by Manchester Camerata) offers music-therapy based music making sessions using percussion instruments, singing and backing music.  Each group provides a wonderful opportunity to make new friends and create a support community through making music together. Developed over 14 years in partnership with music therapists and researchers at The University of Manchester, Music in Mind has a proven positive impact on mood, reduced anxiety and improved wellbeing of both the person with dementia and the family carer. People living with dementia in the Music in Mind sessions are helped to find new ways to communicate and express themselves through music in a supportive, fun and friendly group.
