Healthwatch Bury: Enter and View Report on Grundy Day Care Centre
Our report from the Enter & View visit we carried out to Grundy Day Care Centre in September and October 2025.
The purpose of this visit was to offer an independent perspective on the quality and experience of care provided at the day service. While day services are not regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), this Enter and View visit aims to support individuals in making informed choices and to recognise the vital role these services play in helping people live independently at home.
The Authorised Representatives (ARs) used a semi-structured conversation approach in meeting users of the day care centre and staff members on a one-to-one basis. The checklist of conversation topics was based on the pre-agreed themes for the day care services visits. Additionally, the ARs spent time observing routine activity.
