Pride in practice survey

Between now and the 31st of August the LGBT Foundation are asking lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans people to share their experiences of accessing GPs, dentists, pharmacists and optometrists.

Their 2021 survey found that 12% of people said that they had received unequal treatment from healthcare staff because they were LGBTQ+. Queer, Trans and Intersex. People of Colour (QTIPoC) were six times more likely to have experienced homophobia, transphobia or biphobia than white respondents. This survey will highlight LGBTQ+ people’s experience of healthcare, examples of best practice and areas for improvement.
