Adult Social Care: Proposed Persona Care and Support Ltd savings
The council’s overall aim is to keep providing the current level of service provision, but find cheaper and better ways of doing this.
Over the next three years they propose to make savings of just over £12 million out of their current adult social care budget of £52 million. They want to do this in a number of ways for instance looking at what and how they buy care and support, transforming services and working towards an all age disability service.
Some of the savings have been proposed to be achieved by their Local Authority Trading Company, Persona Care and Support Limited (Persona).
Intentions with Findings: The feedback will be used to formulate the recommendations report which will go through to the Bury Council Cabinet meeting for decision (proposed for July Cabinet).
