Rough sleeper resources during the coronavirus pandemic

Groundswell have developed resources to support people experiencing homelessness during the current coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

Working with their volunteers – people who have slept rough and those residing in hostels and temporary accommodation and their #Healthnow partners – Groundswell has produced resources for helping those who are homeless during the coronavirus pandemic.

People experiencing homelessness are disproportionately affected by poor health and often face challenges accessing the healthcare and support they need. Measures being taken to combat the spread of coronavirus are likely to impact significantly on the lives of people who are homeless.

In response Groundswell have produced short, accessible guides on coronavirus for people who are sleeping rough, people in shared accommodation and a guide on accessing or managing benefits at this time. These are all available below in English, Romanian and Polish.

These guides are based on current guidance from the NHS England, Public Health England and the Department for Work and Pensions; with messaging adapted so people who are homeless can apply it to their current situation. The guidance has had clinical approval.

Groundswell will be updating these documents as frequently as possible as guidance changes. Keep an eye on their Twitter feed and sign up to our #HealthNow newsletter to stay updated.

These guides are designed to be printed on a standard A4 printer and can be folded down into a booklet. They can be printed in black and white.

Please print these and distribute to people experiencing homelessness.
