Take part in cancer screening

The earlier that cancer is detected, the better. Screening can detect cancer at its early stages and sometimes before it even has a chance to develop.

Screening is available FREE on the NHS for three common cancers:

  • Breast Cancer Screening is offered to all women aged 50-70. To book your appointment call 0161 291 4444.
  • Cervical Screening often called as smear test, is offered to women and anyone with a cervix aged 25-64. You can book this at your GP surgery.
  • Bowel Cancer Screening is available to everyone aged 60-74. You will receive a home test kit through the post. Call 0800 707 6060 if you need a replacement.

Translated Videos - They are really simple and straight forward to follow and reassure anyone who has anxieties with taking part in the screening programmes.
