Online Carers Roadshow

One of Healthwatch functions is to provide information and advice to the public about accessing health and social care services and the options available to them. We want to ensure this continues during challenging times.

In particular we want to make sure that unpaid carers have access to the support they need to carry out their caring role as effectively as possible. Equally we want to ensure that people with disabilities can access the information that allows them to live as independently as possible.

Consequently, we have set up the Healthwatch Bury Online Carers Roadshow - YouTube

If you are an unpaid carer or a person with a disability, this virtual roadshow will contain vital information about the wide range of local support you can access. We hope this will also benefit the health and social care professionals who will be able to signpost their clients to the videos to help and support their local community.

The Roadshow concept has received national acclaim and was developed by and for carers by Trevor Clower who set up the virtual carers roadshow in Nottingham.

Please see here for further information.

We would like to get as many local groups involved as possible and it would be great if we could arrange a chat with you about producing a short video about your community group or service. Please get in touch using the contact details below if you would like to get involved.
