NHS Bury Clinical Commissioning Group’s (CCG) next routine Primary Care Commissioning Committee and Governing Body meetings are scheduled to take place on Wednesday 22 November 2017, and members of the public are invited to come along to observe.
Both meetings will be held at Townside Primary Care Centre, Knowsley Place in Bury (5th floor).
The Primary Care Commissioning Committee oversees the work of the CCG in relation to the commissioning of Primary Care services, such as GP services. Regular items discussed at this meeting include finance and quality, and at this month’s meeting, the Greater Manchester Health and Social Care Partnership will be coming along to talk about dental contracting. The committee will meet from 12 noon.
The Governing Body meeting is scheduled to take place from 3pm. This meeting is where discussions and decisions happen in relation to the planning and funding of local health services. Regular items discussed at this meeting include finance, performance, quality and service changes.
Public questions relating to agenda items being discussed at the Primary Care Commissioning Committee and Governing Body meetings are welcome. These should be submitted in advance to allow sufficient time for the question to be picked up and processed in advance of the meetings.
Question forms are available on the CCG’s website (www.buryccg.nhs.uk) under ‘Your local NHS’, and paper copies can be obtained by contacting the CCG by telephone on 0161 762 3189 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org
Dr. Kiran Patel, Chair of NHS Bury CCG said: “Our Governing Body and Primary Care meetings are held in public and provide a great opportunity for local people to come along and find out more about what we do and to get closer to the decision making process about the services we plan and purchase on their behalf. We regularly welcome members of the public to our meetings and I would encourage anyone who would like to find out more about what we do and how we make decisions to come along.”
Anyone unable to attend in person can follow the meetings online live on Twitter at @NHSBuryCCG
The agenda and papers for the meetings will be available on the ‘Your local NHS’ section of the CCG website in advance of the meetings.
