‘Your Health Matters’ talks (in February):-
’50 years on from the War on Cancer – Are we winning ?’ – Wednesday 5th February, 2 pm – 3 pm, Auditorium, Fairfield General Hospital, Rochdale Old Road, Bury, BL9 7TD
The talk will explore how understanding of cancer has developed over the years and focus on the areas where cancer care has been transformed from changes in public health and attitudes through to cutting edge modern treatments including screening, chemotherapy, proton beam therapy and immunotherapy.
‘Patient Experience Talk’ – Wednesday 12th February, 2 pm – 3 pm, Post-Graduate Centre, North Manchester General Hospital, Delaunay’s Road, Manchester, M8 5RB. This talk will explain what the process of receiving care feels like for the patient, their family and carers. It is a key element of quality, alongside providing clinical excellence and safer care.
