Citizens jury

Would you like to be paid to take part in a citizens’ jury?

Citizens Juries CIC, a not-for-profit company, is inviting applications from members of the public to take part in an exciting project commissioned by the University of Manchester, the National Data Guardian, and the NHS. If selected, you will be part of a “citizens’ jury” – 18 adults from across Greater Manchester who will meet online using Zoom from 13.00 to 17.30 for eight days in April 2021: from 6 to 9 April, and from 12 to 15 April. We will be able to help people unused to online video-conferencing or who have difficulty accessing a computer.

The jury will be given relevant information, and work together to answer important questions about new ways that patient data has been used for the Covid-19 pandemic, and whether that should be allowed to continue into the future. The jury’s recommendations will be published and put forward to NHS decision-makers.

Interested in taking part?

If you are aged 18 or over and a resident of Greater Manchester for more than one year, you can apply to take part in an online citizens’ jury – working with others from home using Zoom. The project promises to be interesting, informative and you will be contributing to policy thinking on how patient data should be shared in a pandemic. You must be available for all eight days and you will be paid £480. To apply, you must visit https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/PDJ01 and complete the online form by midday on Monday 1 March 2021.

No special skills, education or experience needed. No CV required. We aim to select a cross-section of adult residents across Greater Manchester.

YOU MUST COMPLETE THE ONLINE FORM TO APPLY. It takes about 5-10 minutes to complete.
