Skills Support for Employment: Providing tailored support, that enables unemployed residents to find and succeed in work. The offer includes:     – Tailored 1 to 1 support     – A dedicated learning mentor     – Careers advice and pre-employment support     – Free accredited and non-accredited learning opportunities     – Help with job applications For more details, see the enclosed poster. The Growth Company have released a programme of employability courses throughout August 2019 (see the enclosed). Get Started with Radio (Manchester): The Princes Trust, in partnership with Reform Radio, are running a free one week course, for young people (16-25), to gain skills in a radio environment. A taster day is scheduled for 13th August 2019, with the course running 19th to 23rd August 2019. For more details,  poster. Get into Technology (Manchester): A 12 week programme which covers technical knowledge and employment skills relating to becoming a Cloud Operations Engineer. Participants will get a guaranteed interview at the end of the programme. The programme starts on 16th September 2019, for young people aged 18 to 29. See the attachment for more details. The National Careers Service have funding to help residents and employers, who are aged 50+, to identify how to recognise the skills and experiences this cohort offers.
