Let's Make a Difference Together

Volunteers needed to take part in a new communications campaign to encourage the reporting of inappropriate behaviour against women and girls across Bury.
Let's Make a Difference Together: Volunteer for a Powerful Campaign Against Inappropriate Behaviour

What's Happening

On Thursday the 14th of December, Bury council are capturing headshot photographs of Bury residents at the Town Hall. These photos will be transformed into powerful posters by Bury College graphic design students, to be displayed on bus stops and other significant sites across the town, as well as the Metrolink. Each poster will feature the faces of Bury residents, accompanied by brief stories of preventing or reporting inappropriate behaviour, along with a QR code linking to the police live chat.

Why Your Involvement Matters

Your story and participation can inspire change. Bury Council believe in the strength of diverse voices, and they want volunteers from all walks of life - young, old, and not just female! If you've personally experienced or responded to inappropriate behaviour against women or girls, your perspective is invaluable.

How You Can Help

If you can spare just 20 minutes on the day, they invite you to join them any time between 12:00-14:00 at the Town Hall for a 'pop-in' style event to take a few headshots. You're welcome to bring a friend or come with a group, if you'd like!
