Healthwatch Bury Community Interest Company (CIC) is looking to recruit a highly skilled and dynamic person as its Chief Operations Officer.

Responsible to: Healthwatch Bury Board

Responsible for: Healthwatch staff, volunteers and members

Salary: £35,000 per annum + pension up to 7%

Hours of work: 37 per week – we may consider part-time for a suitably qualified   applicant.

Contract Type:  Permanent

Holidays: 22 days + 8 bank holidays, rising by one day for each complete year of employment, up to a maximum of 5 days after 5 years of service. Holiday is pro rata for part time employees.

The role of the Chief Operations Officer will be complex and challenging. He/she will work with the Board to set the strategic direction of the organisation and translate this into an operational plan and revised organisational structure.

The post-holder will be experienced in change management and bring passion, vision and commitment to the role. He/she will also need to bring a rigorous approach to leadership, governance, complex people management and financial management.

It is expected that the Chief Operations Officer will have the essential knowledge and ability to work with the Board of a Community Interest Company and the competence to handle some of the more complex issues facing the organisation.
