Healthwatch Bury Community Interest Company (CIC) are looking to recruit a highly skilled and dynamic person as their Chief Officer.

Responsible to: Healthwatch Bury Board

Responsible for: Healthwatch staff, volunteers and members

Salary: £34746 per annum + pension up to 7%

Hours of work: 37 per week – we may consider part-time for a suitably qualified   applicant.

Contract Type: Permanent

Holidays: 22 days + 8 bank holidays, rising by one day for each complete year of employment, up to a maximum of 5 days after 5 years of service. Holiday is pro rata for part time employees.

The role for the Chief Officer will be complex and challenging. The Chief Officer will work with the board to set the strategic direction of the organisation and translate this into an operational plan and revised organisational structure.

The post-holder will be experienced in change management and bring passion, vision and commitment to the role. He/she will also need to bring a rigorous approach to leadership, governance, complex people management and financial management.

It is expected that the Chief Officer will have the essential knowledge and ability to work with the Board of a Community Interest Company and the competence to handle some of the more complex issues facing the organisation.
