Carers Week is an annual campaign to raise awareness of caring, highlight the challenges unpaid carers face and recognise the contribution they make to families and communities throughout the UK. It also helps people who don’t think of themselves as having caring responsibilities to identify as carers and access much-needed support.
Carers Week 2020
This year, people across the country are continuing to face new challenges as a result of the coronavirus outbreak. Many people are taking on more caring responsibilities for their relatives and friends who are disabled, ill or older and who need support.
Caring can be very rewarding but without the right support it can have a negative impact on your health, careers, finances and relationships.
During Carers Week we want to recognise the difficulties carers experience and respect them for all that they are doing.
What’s on during Carers Week
During Carers Week Bury Carers Hub is offering local carers the opportunity to join them for a range of daily activities.
All activities are online and can be accessed through the ZOOM video communications platform.
