Bury Council & Bury CCG have applied for funding to the Greater Manchester Health & Social Care Partnership to support carers in Bury the best we can. The proposal includes:
- Community based support for all carers.
- Creating additional capacity within the Bury Young Carers Service.
- Development of on-line self-assessments for adults caring for other adults (statutory carers assessments).
This does not mean it cannot include other things.
We want to hear the views from carers, people who support carers and from people who have an understanding of the vital role carers play, in the health and wellbeing of those they care for.
How can you help?
By spending a few minutes completing the Carers Survey 2018.
It doesn’t all have to be completed; all information gathered is valuable and will feed in to the final results.
This will be a 12-week borough-wide consultation and engagement. The aim of the consultation is to provide active, open dialogue on how we shape the support we provide to carers in Bury and to gain carers input in the process.
We will be using a range of mechanisms to enable people a choice of how they take part in the consultation; there will be a paper consultation document that can be completed and returned; digitally we will be using ‘One Community’. Alternatively there will be a number of face-to-face focus groups where discussions will provide details on the views and needs of those taking part.
If you would like to be involved in a future focus group, please contact Caroline Malvern.
