NHS Complaint Advocacy Service
Changes to Independent Complaints Advocacy provision
From the 1st April 2020, n-compass Advocacy Service will be responsible for the delivery of the Bury health complaints. As you may be aware n-compass also provide the single point of contact for all advocacy enquiries in Bury including delivering statutory and non-statutory advocacy services.
In the current situation regarding COVID-19, n-compass are working hard to continue to provide advocacy support, however, they are currently providing this support via technology such as phone, email and skype/video calls as appropriate. Currently, a lot of the NHS services are only dealing with urgent complaints and there is likely to be a delay in response, n-compass advocates will support professionals and clients to understand the guidelines being following and communicate any relevant information. Once government guidelines allow, n-compass shall resume back to providing face to face support for the cases that require it.
Please don’t hesitate to contact the Hub should you need any guidance in relation to your query whether it applies to yourself or someone you support. n-compass have duty advocates available during office hours to talk through and guide your advocacy query aiming to support professionals to uphold their duty to refer into statutory advocacy and provide easy access into the service for customers.
Office opening hours are 9 am – 5pm Monday – Thursday Friday – 9am – 4.30pm . A message facility is available outside of these hours, messages will be responded to the following working day.
